To find out the firmware version of a Linux computer, you can use a command line tool called dmidecode
. This tool dumps the content of a computer's system BIOS table in a human-readable format. Displayed information includes various hardware properties such as firmware, motherboard, CPU, cache, memory controller, PCI slots, etc.
Run the following command, and look for firmware version under "BIOS information
".
$ sudo dmidecode | more
