Clonezilla is an open-source disk cloning and recovery tool for Linux systems. Clonezilla is available as Clonezilla Live and CloneZilla Server. The former is a bootable live image allowing users to clone a local computer's disk or partitions to another storage device, while the latter is used to clone one Linux installation to multiple other computers over the network. Clonezilla works by creating an image of disks or partitions, and then restoring the image on either the same computer (for backup/recovery) or different computers (for cloning). It supports multiple file systems (ext2/3/4, reiserfs, xfs, btrfs, FAT16/32, NTFS, HFS+), LVM2,
ecryptfs
-based disk encryption, remote image transfer via SSH/Samba/NFS/WebDAV, BIOS/uEFI booting, etc.
